PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing an imaging material which is intended for cost saving and shows high image durability and high image quality and an ablation imaging material. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer image forming method is characterized in that the imaging material having at least a coloring material layer formed on the surface of a support and a carrier sheet for fixing and carrying the imaging material, are adhesively fixed on a drum and are exposed to a laser light, and thereby, the adhesive properties between the coloring material layer of an exposed part and the support are lowered and further, the coloring material layer of the exposed part is removed from the surface of the support. |
