PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw device which prevents the collision of a ball with a deflector, detaches the ball from a ball rolling groove as smoothly as possible, and prevents generation of the noise caused by the contact of the ball with the outside diameter of the screw shaft. SOLUTION: A substantially S-shaped ball return passage 31 to displace the ball 1 by one turn of the ball rolling groove 11 in a non-contact holding condition with the screw shaft is formed on the deflector 30, and a ball pick-up part 32 to gradually detach the ball 1 from the ball rolling groove 11 is formed along the rolling direction of the ball 1 in the ball rolling groove 11 of the screw shaft 10 is formed on both ends of the ball return passage 31.
