PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly heat-resistant porous film of higher safety to be used as a separator for lithium ion secondary batteries, capable of retaining its shape even if subjected to high temperatures/high pressures, thereby capable of preventing an electrode-electrode short-circuit due to film breakage/rupture. SOLUTION: This porous film is composed of 50-95 wt.% of a polyolefin resin and 5-50 wt.% of a thermoplastic polyester-ether elastomer.
