PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical member for an electrophotograph having high surface precision by preventing a flaw caused by the sliding between a blade and the cylindrical member. SOLUTION: This grinding device has a grinding wheel 1 for grinding the peripheral face of a work 4 that is the cylindrical member; an adjustment grinding wheel 3 for rotating the work 4; and the blade 3 for supporting the work 4, disposed between the grinding wheel 1 and the adjustment grinding wheel 2. A circulation conduit 3a is formed inside the blade 3, and a refrigerant is circulated inside the circulation conduit 3a to cool a surface layer part of the blade 3.
