PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a hydrodynamic pressure bearing and a motor with the hydrodynamic pressure bearing positively prevented from the leakage of a fluid such as oil to maintain high rotating accuracy and capable of receiving both radial and thrust direction load. SOLUTION: This hydrodynamic pressure bearing comprises a ball 11, a support shaft 12 insert-fixed into the center position of the ball 11, and a bearing 13 holding the support shaft 12 in the state of projecting the shaft end outward from a through hole 13a and storing the ball 11 in an internal spherical space 13b while keeping a specified clearance G1. Dynamic pressure grooves 14a, 14b for storing a fluid are provided on the internal spherical surface of the bearing 13 in a circumferential direction orthogonal to the axis of the support shaft 12, and a fluid such as lubricating oil is filled in the dynamic pressure grooves 14a, 14b to constitute the hydrodynamic pressure bearing. The motor is assembled comprising the hydrodynamic pressure bearing.
