PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To beforehand prevent a trouble that small onions dropped from the spaces of the carrying side surface of a grading conveyer (151) for loading onions dug from a field into a container (13) are accumulated in one turning portion of the grading conveyer (13) without dropping from the spaces of the non-carrying surface of the grading conveyer (151), without causing the failure in the operation of the grading conveyer (151) or the like. SOLUTION: This onion harvester in which onions are backward carried with a grading conveyer (151) to load the onions into a container (13), characterized by disposing a clogging preventing mechanism (178) for expanding a space between a lateral rod (161a) among many lateral rods (161) forming the carrying surface of the grading conveyer (151) and the next lateral rod (161), thereby periodically discharging the small onions accumulated in one turning portion of the grading conveyer (151) without dropping from the spaces of the non- carrying side surface of the grading conveyer (151).
