PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carreir tape for which flexibility is ensured for movable parts at shutter parts while rigidity therefor is being restrained even though a thermoplastic resin in high thermal resistance and rigidity is used as a material for forming the carrier tape, and also to provide a fabricating method therefor. SOLUTION: For the carrier tape, the root of a bent part 10b of a shutter 10 serving as a movable part for holding an article 9 to be housed at a carrier main body 7 is made up in a thin form and molecular orientation for resin material used for the tape is formed in well-ordered arrangement only for the bent part 10b of the shutter 10. Therefore, the number of repetitious uses can be greatly incresed for the movable parts such as shutters while high thermal resistance and rigidity are maintained for the entire carrier tape, and a period of durability can be prolonged for the carrier tape as a whole.
