PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an understeer phenomenon to compatibly operate an operating limit function in a power transmission device for four-wheel drive vehicle adapted to distribute drive force between a main dirigible road wheel and an auxiliary dirigible road wheel. SOLUTION: Hydraulic clutches CL and CR adapted to transmit rotation of a casing 24 to the auxiliary dirigible road wheel via left and right output shafts 14L and 14R and a pair of vane pumps PL and PR adapted to generate hydraulic pressure to operate the hydraulic clutches CL and CR are contained inside the casing 24 to rotate in accordance to rotation of the main dirigible road wheel. The vane pumps PL and PR comprise a common pressure plate 30 supported in right-left traverse on the casing 24. Even if the vane pumps PL and PR generate different hydraulic pressures in accordance to a difference in rotation speed generated between the main dirigible road wheel and the left-right auxiliary dirigible road wheel, the left and right hydraulic clutches CL and CR generate the same fastening force to transmit an equal drive force to the left-right auxiliary dirigible road wheel. |
