PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate tile obtained by selfsupporting baking. SOLUTION: The shape of the plate tile 1 deformed by drying is corrected so as to be able to be self supported by cutting the end face of the tail section 5 of the plate tile 1 after drying obliquely or horizontally in the wall thickness direction of the plate tile and forming the cut surface BS1 so as to be crossed with a vertical line L passing through the center G of gravity of the plate tile 1, and the plate tile is selfsupporting baked, using the cut surface BS1 as a ground surface under the self-supported state of the plate tile 1.
