PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve trouble in winch a distorted plate tile is difficult to lay while the plate tile is cracked by stepping in the case of roofing and rain leaks. SOLUTION: In the plate tile in which a lower superposing section is projected on the other side of a tile body, in which an upper superposing section is formed on one side, while a drooped section is formed on the head side of the tile body, and a pair of hooks are formed to a rear on the tail side of the tile body, a projection 7 is abutted against the top face of a batten cleat while both side sections of the lower end face of the drooped section are grounded automatically on the top face of the lower plate tile when the plate tile is placed on a roof foundation by forming the projection 7 so that the central section of the rear on the tail side is abutted against the top face of the batten cleat, and the state of the so-called three-point suspension is brought and a stable state is brought.
