PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for a gene for coding a novel protein (ELP) having an activity for controlling glycoprotein production, obtain the protein by expressing the gene and use the protein for curing abnormal glycoprotein diseases (e.g. cystic fibrosis). SOLUTION: This endoplasmic localization protein is expressed by an amino acid sequence written in the number one sequence in the sequence table of the specifications, its mutated protein, a DNA comprising a nucleotide sequence written in the sequence number 2 in the sequence table and its DNA mutant. This curing agent contains aforesaid ingredients and is used for therapeutic methods including a gene therapy of abnormal glycoprotein diseases.
