PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand operating ranges of a low head side and a high head side without sharply increasing costs and reducing an efficiency. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a suction pipe passage 5 and a runner 2 communicated with the suction pipe passage 5. Also it is provided with a plurality of small diameter pipes 6 disposed in the suction pipe passage 5, and a high pressure water supplying pipe 21 for supplying high pressure water to the small diameter pipes 6. Respective opening parts of a plurality of small diameter pipes 6 are faced to the direction of the runner 2. At the time of a pumping operation of the high head side, the high pressure water is supplied from the high pressure water supplying pipe 21 to the small diameter pipes 6, and is ejected from the small diameter pipes 6 toward the runner 2.
