<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition which has a fine particle size and an excellent dispersion stability, allows high-density recording at ink jet recording and shows an excellent discharge stability, and a preparation process of an aqueous ink. SOLUTION: The aqueous ink composition contains an aqueous ink containing a pigment and a water-soluble resin, wherein an organic solvent-soluble component is removed from the water-soluble resin. In the preparation process of an aqueous ink, an aqueous solution of a water-soluble resin is mixed and stirred with a water-incompatible organic solvent, an organic solvent-soluble component extracted into the organic solvent phase is removed, and at least a pigment is combined and dispersed.</p> |
