PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position an ink jet head to be fitted to a carriage, by a simple constitution, and to ensure electrical connection of FPC provided in the carriage with an electrode of the ink jet head. SOLUTION: A first arm 62 and a second arm 63 which are bent in the substantially U shape by a spring material are inserted into a slot 3 holding the head 1, and the head 1 is held in and fixed by an arm 6 supported rotatably on the side of an electrical connection part 7 in the slot 3 which is connected with the electrode of the head.
