PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the idle rotation of a roller body and a shaft and to suppress the degradation of cylindricity to a small degree even at a high ambient temperature. SOLUTION: This oil-retaining rubber roller has the shaft 2 and the roller body 3 composed of an oil-retaining rubber composition and formed on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 2. The roller body and the shaft are bonded through a rubber composition layer 4 not containing oil, and/or the oil-retaining rubber roller has a means for fixing the mutual axial movement of the roller body and shaft at the axial center part of the roller body, and means for fixing mutual rotation at both end parts of the roller body.
