PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling capable of making a structure taking only practical use into consideration without taking a design face as a staircase for a second floor into consideration while effectively utilizing the inside of a limited building area. SOLUTION: A lavatory 13 capable of going-in and out through an opening and closing door 12 from the part of a floor 10 and a bathroom 14 in the interior are provided to face the outer wall of a building A on the left-hand side of a main entrance E respectively. The preparatory room 16 of a four-mat Japanese-style room capable of going-in and out from the part of the floor 10 through an opening and closing door 15 opposed to the opening and closing door 12 of the lavatory 13 is provided to face the outer wall of the building A on the rear side of a kitchen room 6, and the preparatory room 16 is used for a passage capable of access to the staircase 17 for the second floor and the second floor part by providing the starting point of the staircase 17 for the second floor on the innermost interior.
