A beater mill particularly for refining paper suspensions comprises a rotor 1 having teeth 2 and a strator 3 having corresponding teeth 4. The teeth are in each case rounded at the bottom 10 and at the tooth edge 11. The rounding is related to the position of the inlet 9 for the suspension, and has a radius of 50% to 100% of a tooth thickness measured at half the height of the tooth in the radial direction. In a second embodiment the teeth. may be conically tapered.</p> |
