PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a radial anisotropic ring magnet having large height and large anisotropy and high in density and strength. SOLUTION: A magnetic field compression molding apparatus to be used has a mold for manufacturing a radial anisotropic ring magnet having a cylindrical insert member and the non-magnetic insert member joined thereto and the inner wall of the magnetic insert member is exposed to the cavity of the mold. The mixed powder, which consists of a magnetic powder and a thermosetting resin, charged in the cavity is molded in a magnetic field to form a ring-shaped molded object and the height of the ring-shaped molded object is stretched by a stretching process which consists of a first process S24 displacing the ring-shaped molded object to the place surrounded by the inner wall of the non-magnetic insert member, a second process S26 for laminating the mixed powder to the upper end surface of the ring-shaped molded object and a third process S28 for stretching the height of the ring-shaped molded object by molding the mixed powder in a magnetic field. The ring-shaped molded object is released from the cavity and heat-treated to obtain the radial anisotropic ring magnet.
