PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic cell for an electrolytic water making apparatus capable of clamping and fixing left and right frame plates clamped and fixed in a laminated state and the respective electrode plates held between the frame plates in constant clamping balance to develop excellent sealability and constituted so as to be capable of realizing the simplification of assembling work and the mechanization thereof. SOLUTION: The main body of an electrolytic cell is constituted of two main body frames 3, 4 formed into an almost half-shell cross-sectional shape and electrode plates 8, 12, a spacer 10 and seal members 7, 9, 11, 13 are housed in the electrolytic chamber space Z constituted of two main body frames 3, 4 in a laminated state and both main body frames 3, 4 are clamped and fixed to assemble the electrolytic cell.
