PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleaning liquid composition which is used for cleaning precision parts to which waxes and pitches stick and has sufficient detergency with slight influences exerted upon environments and slight regulation on handling without aggressiveness on the material itself composing the precision parts. SOLUTION: This cleaning liquid composition is characterized in that the composition comprises >=70 wt.% of a 10-18C bicyclic aromatic compound and the difference between 5% recovered temperature and the 95% recovered temperature in distillation properties of the cleaning liquid composition is <=100C or the cleaning liquid composition is characterized in that the composition comprises 40-95 wt.% of a 10-18C bicyclic aromatic compound and further comprises a compound selected from N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone,γ-butyrolatoctone, cyclohexanone and 1,3-dimenthyl-2-imidazolidinone in the total amount. of 60-5 wt.%.
