PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color change coating method capable of continuously applying a coating color different at every article to be coated in a coating line. SOLUTION: In a color change coating method wherein marking for indicating coating colors, which are preliminarily applied to various articles to be coated fed by a conveyor, is detected by a sensor or these markings are applied to the articles to be coated to be detected by the sensor and a coating apparatus is operated according to the commands of the indicated coating colors sent from a control panel corresponding to the detection signals and two or more coatings different in color are mixed to apply the indicated coating colors to the articles to be coated, a color mixture coating apparatus having a first coating part having jet orifices for ejecting a base coating and a second coating part having jet orifices for ejecting a color coating of which the color is different from that of the base coating is used as the coating apparatus. In this coating apparatus, the first and second coating parts are arranged so that the ejection directions of both parts cross each other and the ejected base coating and the ejected color coating collide with each other to become a mixed state.
