PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for installing the cover body of a working pipe part capable of being manufactured at a low cost in a case body of continuous supply of water. SOLUTION: When the opening part of a working pipe part allowing a cutting device to gain an access thereto in a case body 1 used in continuous supply of water is closed by a cover body 4, the temporary fixing means 5 of the cover body 4 is installed onto the opening part, the cover body 4 inserted into the opening part is fixed temporarily, and a fixing member is installed across the opening part and the cover body and the cover body is fixed. Then, the temporary fixing by a temporary fixing means is released to remove the temporary fixing means 5 so as allow the cover body to be installed. Because the temporary fixing means is provided separately from the case body so as to provide a working tool used in one period of the construction, the temporary fixing means must not be installed integrally with the case body as before, and a production cost can be reduced.
