PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane device minimizing its influence on the environment, being low-cost, and providing high efficiency. SOLUTION: A portal structure comprises a pair of leg structures having wheels driven by a self-traveling motor 5, and a beam structure provided with a moving frame. The moving frame is provided with a lifting device for lifting and lowering a container spreader gripping a container. A trolley device is provided for moving the moving frame in the longitudinal direction of the beam structure. A generator 31 and a battery 32 are provided. A winding motor 15 for the lifting device, a trolley motor 21 for the trolley device, and an electric power controller 41 for supplying electric power to the self-traveling motor 5 are provided. The electric power controller 41 supplies electric power from the battery 32 in addition to the electric power from the generator 31 during actuation of the winding motor 15, and electric power generated by the winding motor 15 during raising or lowering of the container is supplied to the battery 32 to charge it.
