PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength ink receiving layer with high voids which shows outstanding ink absorption (absorption rate and absorption capacity), water absorption properties (absorption rate and absorption capacity) and high ink color developing/fixing properties and further, high water resistance/high weatherability with the capability of realizing a print quality with extreme fineness. SOLUTION: This ink receiving layer comprises a filler composed mainly of a porous polymer member and a hydrophilic polymer compound formed on the surface of a sheetlike base material or on the surface of the sheetlike base material through an intermediate layer. In addition, the filler is packed in the voids of the porous polymer film.
