METHOD OF PRODUCING MOLDED ARTICLE AND METHOD OF IMPROVING MELT VISCOSITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing polyethylene naphthalene dicarboxylate molded articles which can employ direct blow molding or inflation molding and has a high melt viscosity and is easy to control the melt viscosity. SOLUTION: The method of producing molded articles comprises supplying a mixture of master pellets which are polyethylene naphthalene dicarboxylate pellets containing 0.1-5 wt.% polyfunctional aromatic carboxylic acid and/or its acid anhydride with polyethylene naphthalene dicarboxylate pellets to a molding machine to effect melt kneading and molding the melt mixture into molded articles with the use of the pellets and the master pellets which meet specific conditions.
