PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating, comprising producing an aqueous light-absorbing material excellent in controlling effect on insects, coating an electric lamp or a transparent part covering the lamp therewith and enabling uniform coating on a fluorescent lamp and to provide a method for local coating having higher controlling effect on insects. SOLUTION: The aqueous light-absorbing coating material has a controlled hyperbolic curve of cutting ratio, that is, 100% against UV rays having wavelengths other than 370 nm in the range of <=370 nm and as for 400-800 nm, 100% at 400 nm, 70±10% at 450-500 nm and 0% at 800 nm. The fluorescent lamp is obtained by double flow coating under vertically reversing the lamp. The above absorbing agent is applied on a part expecting insect control and is made bright in the direction letting insects go off.
