<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for exchanging data on a network without proliferating the data. SOLUTION: When the data included in the files of a first client and a second client are to be exchanged via a server, the data are shifted from the files to folders of the first and second clients respectively. The folders are up-loaded to the server from the first and second clients respectively. The up-loaded data in two folders are exchanged by the server, folder IDs for identifying folders are applied to two folders, and the folder IDs are down-loaded to the clients. The folder IDs down-loaded to the first and second clients are compared with the folder IDs stored in the files to determine the propriety of the shift of the data stored in the folders into the files.</p> |
