PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal shelf capable of representing a calm feeling and a high-grade feeling while securing stability and support strength to a heavy cargo. SOLUTION: In this universal shelf 1 for fixing a shelf board 2 to an optional height position by interposing a fitting member 4 in plural columns 3, the columns 3 are constituted by covering a surface of a steel pipe 12 being a core material with an enclosing member 13 composed of wood.
