PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straightening roll for a starting sheet for electrolysis of metal which can apply straightening to projecting parts as well without the occurrence of nonuniform thrusting even if the starting sheet having the projecting parts at its end edges is used as an objective, and a roller leveler using the same. SOLUTION: The straightening roll for the starting sheet for electrolysis of the metal to be used as the work roll of the roller leveler for correcting the strain of the starting sheet for electrolysis of the metal formed with the projecting parts overhanging to incline at the end edges of the plate surface is provided with annular groove parts at the outer peripheries of the ends of the roll. These groove parts have working surfaces to straighten the starting sheet by abutting on the projecting parts described above.
