PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and accurately carry out the control of the rotation of a mixing vessel 3 in a food material-mixing apparatus 1. SOLUTION: This food material-mixing apparatus 1 has a detecting means 51 for detecting the standard rotary position A of the mixing vessel 3, and a timer means for detecting the rotating time of the mixing vessel 3. The rotating time per one revolution of the vessel 3 storing the food material is measured by the timer means. The time required for rotating the vessel 3 at a prescribed angle from the standard rotary position A is calculated from the rotating time per one revolution, and the rotational displacement of the mixing vessel 3 is controlled based on the calculated time.
