PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer enabling serum type to be detected and judged quickly, easily and accurately. SOLUTION: This primer has a specific base sequence or a sequence complementary thereto and is intended for detecting adenovirus serum type. A method for detecting adenovirus serum type using the above primer is provided. A reagent for detecting adenovirus serum type is also provided.
