PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording device capable of stabilizing ejection and cleaning by refilling an ink tank in a paused state with an ink. SOLUTION: This device comprises a recording head 1 for ejecting ink droplets, a sub tank 3 for temporarily storing an ink to be supplied to the recording head 1, and an ink pack 4 for replenishing an ink to the sub tank 3 such that the ink in the sub tank 3 is discharged and the ink in the ink pack 4 is provided at the time of resuming the drive of the device in a paused state. Thereby, even in the case the dissolved air amount of the ink in the sub tank 3 becomes higher during the pause of the device, since the deteriorated ink is discharged so as to be replaced by the flesh ink in the ink pack 4 at the time of resuming the drive, cleaning or ejection instability derived from deterioration of the ink in the sub tank 3 can be prevented. |
