PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, multistage vehicular automatic transmission capable of fulfilling an overtop ratio in the transmission using a planetary gear set for fastening.releasing a centrifugal clutch by the actions of the centrifugal force of a weigh and the thrust force of a helical gear. SOLUTION: The vehicular automatic transmission is provided with a first planetary gear set 10 coupled to a prime mover, a first clutch 17, a second clutch 27, and a high-speed first gear 31 and a low-speed first gear 32 integrally journalled on a second output shaft 25, and a two-stage transmission gear mechanism 30 in which a high-speed second gear 33 is coupled through a third clutch 37 to a third output shaft 35, and a low-speed second gear 34 is coupled through a one-way clutch 36 to the third output shaft 35, the two-stage transmission gear mechanism 30 establishes a high-speed transmission system with the third clutch 37 fastened and a low-speed transmission system with the third clutch 37 released by the action of the one-way clutch 36.
