PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transparent softening agent composition for textile products excellent in economical efficiency and satisfying storage stability. SOLUTION: This transparent softening agent composition comprises (a) one or more kinds of compounds represented by the following general formula (a-i) or (a-ii), (b) one or more kinds of compounds represented by the following general formula (b-i) or (b-ii) [wherein R1 and R7 denote each an 11-21C alkyl group; X denotes COO, CONR8, OCO or NR8CO in which R8 denotes hydrogen atom, a 1-3C alkyl group or a 1-3C hydroxyalkylene group; R2 and R3 are each a 1-5C alkylene group; R4 and R5 are each a 1-3C alkyl group; R6 denotes a 1-3C alkyl group or a 1-3C hydroxyalkyl group or may be R1-X-R2; and Z- is an anionic group] and (c) 0.1-20 wt.% of a solvent having specific solubility characteristics in (1/20) to (1/1) ratio of (a)/(b) expressed in terms of weight ratio. The amount of (a)+(b) is 3-50 wt.%.
