PRIMER COMPOSITION, CYCLOOLEFIN POLYMER COMPLEX USING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE COMPLEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition capable of well adhering a metathesis polymer from a cycloolefin to the surface of a substrate, such as plastics and metals, to provide a cycloolefin polymer complex obtained by using the composition, and to provide a method of producing the complex. SOLUTION: This primer composition contains a metathesis polymerization catalyst and a resin. The composition preferably contains a thermoplastic resin as the resin, and more preferably contains an epoxy resin or a urethane resin. The method of producing cycloolefin polymer complex comprises treating a surface of the substrate with the primer composition, applying a molding material containing the cycloolefin and the metathesis polymerization catalyst to the treated surface and curing the material.
