PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable tool capable of varying the direction of the hook part of a hook and also the dimensions of a gap for hitching while the structure remains simple. SOLUTION: The body 1 of the portable tool is furnished with a grip part 13 approximately in a columnar shape, and the grip part 13 is furnished with a hook 6, which has a hook part 63 to form, a gap for hitching S in the grip part 13. The hook 6 is made rotatable with respect to the grip part 13 round an eccentric axis L2. A detent mechanism 7 is installed capable of locating the hook 6 at certain angular intervals to the grip part 13. The direction of the hook part 63 changes with rotation of the hook 6, and also the dimensions of the gap for hitching S are varied.
