PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake using an aluminum alloy disk rotor enabled to secure a prescribed strength. SOLUTION: In this disk brake using the disk rotor made of an aluminum alloy, a back plate for a brake pad is molded of a heat resistant short fiber and a heat resistant resin. A fiber with the length of the glass fiber 10 mm or less is used for the heat resistant short fiber and its mixing rate is set to 50 mass % or more so as to secure the strength.
