PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is necessary to note the direction of mounting in the apparatus main body in addition to the direction of mounting a gear flange in an ink film winding core in setting the ink film in an apparatus in which a supply side ink film winding core and a take-up side ink film winding core are accommodated in a cassette and set in the main body thereof. SOLUTION: This image recording apparatus is so constructed that flange parts 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b are integrally formed at both end parts of the supply side ink film winding core 11 and the take-up side ink film winding core 12 made by a resin tube, the respective flange parts are provided with support round bars different in diameter, and the apparatus main body 10 is provided with bearing parts 10a to 10d corresponding to the respective support round bars, whereby the ink film can be set in the apparatus main body without a cassette and without a mistake in direction by single operation.
