PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file, capable of omitting a labor for aligning holes bored on filing documents and capable of filing the documents by a file permitting the shifting of the documents or the like simply under the condition as it is without disturbing the order of the documents while facilitated in the rearrangement of the documents. SOLUTION: The file with a filing string is constituted of a base board, formed integrally with fixed guides established at the end part of the same, a guide base board 5b, attached pivotally to the base board through a hinge, a pusher plate, having up-and-down inserting rods attached detachably to the up-and-down guide rods 5c, 5d projected from the guide base board, a filing mechanism unit 5, attached to the fixed guides through a spring and formed of a retaining plate for retaining the pusher plate, and a guide groove 5n, on which a slit 1a for passing a filing string through the guide base board as well as a rear cover is formed and which is formed to guide the U-shape filing string through the up-and-down guide rods attached to both ends of the slit 1a.
