<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an inlet system straight, and ensure a pipe length of an exhaust system, without enlarging a space required in a case where an engine for surface travelling boat is mounted on a hull. SOLUTION: This engine 3 for surface travelling boat is mounted inside the hull 2 in a state in which crankshafts 25, 26 are faced toward a longitudinal direction of the hull 2, and rotates to drive a propeller 4 arranged at a rear part of the hull 2. In the engine 3, first and second cylinders are arranged so as to form a V bank, and the V bank space between the first and second cylinders is arranged on a center of the hull. The inlet system extending from an inlet port 16c formed to face the V bank space is extendedly provided facing upward, and the exhaust system connected to an exhaust port formed on an outside surface of the engine 3 and discharging an exhaust to an outside of the hull is once downwardly extended from the exhaust ports 17a, 18a and thereafter upwardly extended. The upwardly extended portion is inclined such that, as seen in the longitudinal direction of the hull 2, an upper part thereof becomes generally close to the center of the hull 2.</p> |
