PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging bag which can hold a content with excellent balance when unsealed, and effectively prevent the content from falling even when the content is relatively bulky, heavy or difficult to grasp. SOLUTION: The packaging bag 10 comprises two rectangular sheets with peripheral edges peelably sealed having an opening part 11 to insert an article to be stored therein, has a knob for peeling formed by providing a recessed notch 14 only in one of the two rectangular sheets at the peripheral edge of the unsealing side of the sheet, and the knob is located between an end and a center of one rectangular sheet having the knob thereon. When the article is sterilized, one rectangular sheet is formed of a gas-permeable paper or nonwoven fabric, and the other is a transparent synthetic resin sheet, and preferably, a synthetic resin film.
