PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footrest with a buffering function and a warp restraining function for an ankle. SOLUTION: If a toe board 2b is deformed to a cabin side when a vehicle has a head-on collision, the bending of a forward-bent leg part 9F on the toe side of a frame member 7 forming the energy absorbing means 5 of the footrest 3 goes ahead, and compressive deformation spreads from the toe side of the frame member 7 to heel side to absorb collision energy, so that impact on the foot F of an occupant is relieved and the foot F is moved in the inclined upward direction of the toe board 2b, thereby restraining the warping of the ankle.
