PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing the asphyxiation accident in a vehicle for preventing he asphyxiation accident of occupants caused by the shortage of oxygen inside of the vehicle. SOLUTION: This device for preventing the asphyxiation accident in a vehicle, automatically opens a window of the vehicle by judging that an occupant takes a rest or sleeps when a foot brake pedal or/and an acceleration pedal of the vehicle during operation, are not operated for a predetermined time, stops the operation of an air conditioning system such as an air conditioner, a heater of the like during operation, then closes the window when the air in the vehicle is ventilated after the passage of a predetermined time, and restarts the operation of the air conditioner or the heater.
