The decoration of three-dimensional surfaces by gelatinous sheet material comprises adhesion of a gelatine sheet to an impermeable membrane (2) on a wall (3), to form a deformable pouch. A chamber is then established in the region (Z) of the gelatine (1), the membrane (2) and the wall (3). The zone (Z) has a pressure differential applied to it.
