CLUTCH FOR COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A clutch of a compressor is provided to decrease the installation space of the compressor by reducing the thickness of the clutch, and to prevent impact in turning a rotating shaft by deforming an elastic member temporarily in transmitting rotational force by contacting a pulley and a disk. CONSTITUTION: A clutch for a compressor is composed of a pulley(33) installed in a compressor body with rotating; a hub member(34) fixed in a rotating shaft with a flange including plural recesses; elastic members(35) inserted and supported in the recesses and protruded partially; an outer ring(37) supporting the protruded portion of the elastic member; a stopper(38) restricting vibration of the elastic member with supporting the protruded portion of the elastic member; and a disk(50) fixed in the outer ring, and contacted or separated from the friction surface of the pulley to transmit power. The installation space is reduced with decreasing the thickness of the clutch.
