AUTOMATIC SWING TORCH FOR NARROW-GAP SUBMERGED ARC WELDING AND SWING CONTROLLING METHOD

PURPOSE: An automatic swing torch for narrow-gap submerged arc welding is provided which controls the swing direction and the swing width in an adequate position of a joint during welding process and controls the torch swing manually or automatically. And a swing controlling method is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The automatic swing torch for narrow-gap submerged arc welding comprises: (i) a main body part(200); (ii) a driving part(100) which comprises a rotary encoder(10), a driving motor(12), a warm shaft(14) and a warm gear(16); (iii) a torch swing part(300) which comprises a swing bar(22) and a swing pin(30); and (iv) a welding process control part which comprises a hand-operated control panel(46) and a welding control program. The swing control method comprises steps of: (i) a hand-operated swing control step which controls the swing direction, the swing per unit angle and the swing according to the set-up value; and (ii) an automatic swing control step which automatically controls the swing through the welding control program of the welding process control part.
