PURPOSE: A high frequency plasma display panel is provided to improve maintenance discharge efficiency while keeping low the heights of the barriers and the frequencies of high frequency signals and to minimize the interference between the address discharge and the maintenance discharge. CONSTITUTION: In the high frequency plasma display panel, a RF PDP discharge cell includes a high frequency electrode(82), a high frequency bottom electrode(84), phosphors(78), an address electrode(66), and a scan electrode(70). Barriers(76) are formed on a second dielectric layer(72) to divide the discharge cell and to prevent adjacent discharge cells from interfering with each other. Phosphors are coated on the inside of the barriers (76) generating visible rays using the UV lights generated during discharges. A protection layer(74) is formed on the second dielectric layer(72) to protect the dielectric layer(72) from sputtering during discharges. The height of the barriers(76) is made as the width of the discharge cell. |
