CATHODE BASE METAL HAVING FINE SURFACE UNEVENNESS AND DEPRESSION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A cathode base metal having fine surface unevenness and depression and manufacturing method thereof is provided to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing cost by surface processing the base metal before welding. CONSTITUTION: The cathode radiates thermal electrons as electron source in electron gun of color braun tube. The fine unevenness and depression of surface in base metal(31) of the cathode is formed by electrochemical etching method before welding to sleeve. The reductive metal material(32) is attached to the unevenness surface of fine unevenness and depression of the base metal(31). The reductive metal material is attach by electroplating method. Thereby the productivity of cathode is improved and manufacturing cost is reduced.
