<p>PURPOSE: A porous titania catalyst having an excellent catalyst activity in NOx removal is provided. CONSTITUTION: The porous titania having the anatase type crystal structure, 3-10 nm crystallite diameter, at least 60% anatase crystallization ratio, at least 10m¬2/g BET specific surface area, at least 0.05cm¬3/g total void volume and at least 0.02cm¬3/g void volume of voids having larger than 1nm void radius, is obtained by dissolving a titanium alkoxide with a solvent to obtain the titanium alkoxide solution, adding a mixed solvent consisting of water and a solvent to the titanium alkoxide solution for hydrolyzing, then polymerizing to obtain a polymer solution, and burning the polymer solution in the presence of a fatty acid.</p> |
