PURPOSE: A hood stay rod structure for a vehicle maintains a strong elastics by making the upper end portion thereof protruded outward short and being tightly fixed by being bent. CONSTITUTION: A hood stay rod(48) structure for a vehicle has a bent portion formed on the middle portion thereof and divided into upper end portion(56) and a lower end portion(60). The lower end portion(60) is inserted into a panel insertion portion(62). Thus, the hood stay rod(48) has a better appearance than other ordinary stay rods. Further, the adjustment of the length of the stay rod(48) is possible. Although the hood stay rod(48) is mounted on the side surface of an engine room(42), it does not have any interferences between other members such that an effective space management is implemented.
